The Gig Gallery - History

The Gig Gallery is an online retailer of concert posters and art prints, with pieces showing and for sale at Plan9 Music in Carytown, 3012 W. Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23221.  We specialize in mostly the secondary sale of screenprinted concert posters, as well as giclee, offset and screenprinted art prints.  We offer a huge selection of posters created by some of today's best artists for some of today, yesterday and tomorrow's hottest bands.  We also offer wholesale on some items.  Please contact us for more information on wholesale availability and pricing.

The Gig Gallery opened for business on May 21, 2007 with the aim to offer one of the internet's largest selection of gigposters available at fair prices with excellent customer service.  Future plans for The Gig Gallery include poster publishing, poster event promotion, and the eventual opening of a storefront gallery and frameshop specializing in rock art.

The current focus of The Gig Gallery is to spread the growing enthusiasm for concert poster collecting through news, blogging, special releases, and links and partnerships that will help spread the word about artists, posters, bands and music that particularly catch our eyes and ears.

We currently work with The National in Richmond, VA, publishing posters by a variety of artists for a variety of bands, and we welcome any artists, bands, promoters, managers or agents to contact us regarding publishing as well as other promotional opportunities.
